Hi guy
You will not see me on Aion for a wile, I have no idea what the done to the client/server but i can't play any more. Soon as i login its just a mater of time before i crash.
Ill give them a day to fix it if not ill write them an very angry email and probably will not go back to Aion due the bad support and and worse aion manages ad the early stages of the game to make it worse instead of making it better.
Cya around guys.

Does it happen while you are queuing?
If i try to multitask while i queue it crashes my videocard as well. Multitasking while i was with the game running i never had problems.
Are you sure it is something in the server end or does it only happens in your pc?

No it has nothing to do with multitasking as i thought ad first. It does not happen during the queue.
I am sure its the client, after i stopped playing last night i shut down my pc and dint reboot till the next day. If the pc had no power it can not change anything.
Besides i have tried to reinstall my vid drivers and turned on the GPU's error logs And i have reinstalled direct x. Also i have changed the game settings just in case it had something to do with that.
Non of this made a difference and due the given fact it was working fine when i shut down my pc and it was broken when i booted again, knowing if a pc is not turned on if it has no power nothing can change i am pretty sure its the game client or server.
Ill try again later, still looking on the official forums to find an answer.
And no i looked trough the CPU and GPU error logs, there is no information i can use about the crash in there, its not just a game crash its a complete system lock down i have to manually reset to get it working again.
And yes i have tried other games and additional 3D programs and heavy multitasking and it works fine so i blame aion.

TBH my client is also acting strangely last 3 days. I also have occasional crashes but most annoying is rubberband effect all the time which effectively prevents me from proper movement. Also my ping increased big time since 3 days ago. Normally it was around 100-130 but now it reaches over 900 which causes big lag sometimes. And it happens even at mornings :/ I believe some changes were made to client-server stuff but support in Aion is non existant at this moment.

i do not know how you measure your ping inside the game. (any hidden option?)
Rubberband effect i don't feel, only very rare time, if my character got stuck in a obstacle. Never in open run. On areas with a lot of players it does feel with less frames, and that did not happen at the launch night. I had hundreds of players at the same time, and it was 100% fluid.
What happen to me since last update, is that the quests don't show well the rewards (some appear with grey icon's).

Try scanning the disk. Maybe some bad allocated files on your game when you rebooted the computer (sometimes my aion client freezes and i only can reboot and is not GPU related).

to check ping in game just type /ping and in general chat you will see you ping value. I think I know what the problem is and must to check it out. It's something with WiFi and packet queueing.

Oh i am using ethernet cable on my computer, no mistake about that, much less ping than wi-fi.
Will test my ping tonight.

hey guys
I have managed to solve the problem.
I do still think that in one of the updates was a corrupted or misplaced a file that lead to an unstable game client. How ever what i had to do to solve the problem is not something i advice anyone else could do to make it better. I changed the OS to windows 7 ultimate. This change has a lot of advantages and it contributed to a ones again stable game client. And with this i ofc also had reinstalled the game.
how ever i can not provide facts of this unfortunate event due windows XP inconclusive error reports.

milhas also had a similar problem to you. He would login, and after being in the world, would crash. He reinstalled the client, and the problem was gone.
So next time, boys and girls, if just you are having the problem, try to reinstall the client. Should fix your problem.

I'm glad to see that all the issues of login in are gone already for some time. Along with the queues A thing of the past... seems a distant memory
