The EU login server has been down for over an hour, and I haven't had any luck trying to login for today's event yet.

Greetings Daevas,

We’ve just received a fix from the Aion development team and plan to begin emergency maintenance on European servers at 02:00 GMT (more). The maintenance is estimated to take no longer than 1 hour and will correct all known issues from the 1.5.1 game update.

We understand this has been a frustrating day for our European community and we want to thank you once again for your patience. To show our appreciation, we’re planning to compensate our European community with game time and will be communicating our definitive compensation plans sometime in the next day or two.

FAIL , the major problem to me was  the lack of information an attention they missed to give to their clients.

Game down since 11 am and they start explaining why a 22 pm ? nice company.

wonder how many addicts will quit so they exchange the fkin downtimes from 11 am to 3 am...

Putting EU servers going down at same time with US wich is 3 am for them seems like every fkin game ive played till today .

EU <- gets fuked  US - top priority

Nuke the fkers for once.

actually not really. If you read their twitter, they were already suppling more info. I do agree that info should also be available on the official website and not their twitter. But on twitter their was constant updated on their side.

This was a patch, that went wrong. And in one day, they worked hard and made urgently 4 patches, plus another one the next day to make sure things stay stabilized.

I really don't understand all the anger that players shown. We still have a life, it is not like we are not able to do anything else if their is a problem.
If a problem ocours i will be expecting the company to resolve it and to then compesate the players.

That is exactly what they are doing. I've been a computer tech many years, i know things can go wrong. Even if we prepare well for it, there is always a factor that can go wrong. They already admited that they will compesate the players from the time taken away from them. That is good enough for me. Chill out a bit Smiley

I was badly impressed with some childish posts i saw from the comunity of players on the official website of the game. People need to take it a notch down.

This happened, they resolved it, i am sure they did extra meetings and are now taking extra measures to avoid this from happening again. I trust this, it is not like it is a recurring problem over and over again. Was the 1st time, hopefully there will be no second.

it is clear to me, after reading Aranel's comment, that he's been around the P2P MMORPG industry for quite a while. he's burned and of so many times the same fails. it's been like 10 years and the paid MMORPG industry isn't getting better. bots are not aceptable. severe maintenance issues perhaps. but I am sure that at least a link to where the information was beeing provided isn't that too much to ask to see in either the launcher or the oficial site. what do I think of this? I really don't care. (cont)

it was a shock to me that this game did come out in the native english speaking countries with very few bugs, like software used to be coded 10 years ago. but that only happened because koreans "beta tested" it for us before we saw the final product. bug free software nowadays simply doesn't happen anymore. still I consider that AION hasn't crashed too often. in the end it boils down to one fact. how tired are you of paying for still having problems? depends on your patience. and people that have been through a lot usually tend to be less tolerant. and that's the case of Aranel. some people understand this, some don't. he's not guilty. he pays and deserves proper treatment, to be informed, and compensated.

You repeat "Aranel" but i see him nowhere in this topic. You mean Viittu?

Problems happen always, does not matter if you pay something or not. Your tv at home, your computer, your car, you payed for them and payed a lot, and still that does not garants you that you will not have problems with them. Things can fail.

I do think, that some of the people i read on the aion website need to chill out a bit, and take down a notch. Over reacting a bit, of course everyone got frustrated and wanted to play. But people need to be more serene about it. Not much i can add to what i already said. Smiley

I understand Viittu frustration since we spent 1 crappy year in Warhammer. This was the worst managed game ever! Even worse than Archlord in the old days. I still cannot understand how a game with so much potential could be so miserably fcked up by it's operator/developer. I just checked and WAR ended up with only 6 servers. At the start it had like 30!
